A box? That is something new. Does it work for any snake? Just curious.
Your dog is so cute! I wanna steal him....lol. :D I LOVE dogs like that.
A friend of mine from Minnesota has one called Minny. She is half wolf and half husky. She is huge and adorable.

Mini cereal boxes work great as hides for small snakes (cheap too! especially when the kids eat the cereal.....)

Dog is an Alaskan Malamute, currently 95lb and not fully grown yet, she's gonna be a big girl :D

I know this will sound ignorant but what kind of snake is that? It is stunning. Beautiful dog!

raptor667 11-04-2011 03:37 PM

It's the third one on my signature ;)
Aka - Ridleys cave racer - chinese beauty snake (fairsized ratsnake with eyeshadow.... lol)

Such a beautiful snake Raptor <3 And ohmygod I forgot what an adorable dog you have! That tongue out picture is priceless xD
I use boxes for all of my hides. Not very pretty, but it costs a fraction of those nice store ones and does the job fine.

I also find boxes the easiest to use. Once soiled just remove and replace. No cleaning etc. My snakes' toilet habits leave much to be desired and they seem to insist on using their hides. They probably have privacy issues.

Hey Raptor,

Nikki

Yep please do. I am also very interested. We see Rat Snakes for sale here occasionally but never anything like that.

Yep Skye is as a Malamute, currently 45kg and daft as a brush.:D

Milla is a Ridleys cave racer or chinese beauty snake, she is one of only 3 brought over from the hamburg show in Germany earlier this year. She is really easy to keep as they like basically room temp and humidity, she has been chugging down baby rats since I got her and growing at a rate of knots. She has the twin pattern that you find on most beauty snakes. She is a bit tetchy till you get her out of her enclosure but quickly calms down, however when you put her back she starts tail wagging like crazy. she eats with no problems and should get to be about 7-8ft when adult ( hopefully she won't take after Alice ).

Anything I haven't covered just ask away. ;)
