id love some more snow :), especially since all we have here right now is rain. i think anything under 70 is cold and at the moment its 33. dont get me wrong im not complaining, i just wish it could be warm and snowy  im waitin for another 'blizzard' like we had a few years ago where we got about 3 feet of snow and for here thats a lot. im right on the coast so snow doesnt stick very well.

let the winter games begin :D

tmmpin 12-10-2007 06:59 PM

I'm dreading the snow, I hate the cold and hate the way people want to drive on the snow.
They either want to speed up and run 80 or slow down and do 30mph.
It sure does look pretty when it snows though.

raptor667 12-16-2007 09:18 AM

I think this is part of the fun of this site, there are people from all over the world.....All here due to a love of snakes...and people say the internets a bad place....nahhhhh!!

Oh and right now in Wales it's freezing..no snow yet but everythings white.

( Cracking Photo of the Ice on the branch )

dwg1211 12-16-2007 12:05 PM

...just stating the obvious.

sombadfish 12-16-2007 03:15 PM

its actually a twig :) moms camera has a super macro setting so i use it more than she does

the internet is a supurb place! random people from all over the world can discuss their similarities like you said, and no long distance phone bills!!!!

tmmpin 12-16-2007 07:23 PM

Wish I had another garage so I could park the vehicles inside for this stuff :!:

sombadfish 12-16-2007 11:13 PM

yaayyyyyyy

we got about a foot the other night then i woke up this morning and it had snowed a whole bunch but then turned to rain. its nasty out there... i just want the pond to freeze!

tmmpin 12-17-2007 01:07 AM

Pretty much all of our snow is gone, rivers are flooding, and can't do nothing outside because of mud.
It was nice out.

sombadfish 12-17-2007 02:15 AM

yea we have like... 4 inches of slush in our driveway. and thats after dad went outside and snow-blowed the whole thing.

meanwhile still waiting for basil to drop her eggs :-\ not looking good. she was 2.4lbs when the eggs started forming and now shes 2.6 but the eggs are huge so shes lost weight.

Roy 12-17-2007 05:57 AM

It's bloody hot and humid and we are expecting a huge thunderstorm this afternoon.

Hope that basil comes through with her eggs.

IzzieMonster 12-17-2007 04:01 PM

Great pic.s of all that frozen stuff!!

Thats something that we don't ever get to see around here (in TX)!!! We just get stuck with the bitter cold and wind chills :x

Basil needs to hurry up and lay those eggs!! Im getting stressed out! :)
How long after they are layed before they hatch??

tmmpin 12-17-2007 05:43 PM

Be happy you don't get the snow. It just messes up the roads. Since I don't live in town my road is one of the last ones to get plowed off. Makes it hard on the ol'lady trying to get to work.
I need to move to Australia.
Roy, any good jobs there?

MainStick 12-17-2007 06:13 PM

Right now anything warm sounds like a great idea. We got hit with what appears to be about a 1 1/2 feet of snow. Being near downtown is hard to tell, cause there is so much drifting, but sure is a mess.

Temps are supposed to get back up over freezing, so hopefully it disappears. It's very nice to look at, until you have to go out in it.

sombadfish 12-18-2007 02:02 AM

eh they arent fertile, shes the only iguana in the house..

trust me im stressing too, shes huge and theyre pushing her organs up against her lungs making it hard for her to poop. shes not doin much movin around, just sits on a heating blanket all day (sleeps on it with another blanket on top of her) im getting nervous about it :(

Roy 12-18-2007 05:06 AM

Hi tmmpin, yeah, plenty of work here mate! I was doing 12 hour shifts last week. :(

raptor667 12-18-2007 09:11 AM

My kids are soooooooooo looking forward to the snow......Must admit I like it to...Whilst My wife only likes looking at the snow through doubleglazed windows and sat next to the fire....lol

All we have here at the moment is freezing Temps at night and just above freezing during the day.

Cracking Pics of the snow by the way!

tmmpin 12-18-2007 09:11 AM

I need to move to Australia!!!

sombadfish 12-18-2007 09:56 AM

haha i think we should take a field trip :D

Roy 12-18-2007 10:53 AM

Yeah, come on over. 8) The reptiles are very active over here at this time of year. :)

tmmpin 12-18-2007 09:18 PM

I wish, maybe one day I will be able to take a "field trip".

Roy 12-19-2007 05:43 AM

I would love to go over there to America some time myself. By the sounds of it, summer time will be the best option. 8)

I look at the roads and scenery in the catalogs that Harley Davidson send to me and I think about how I would love to ride over there some time. We have a lot of wide open roads, but a lot of our roads are crap. Because we are such a small population in a large quantity of land, public funds get a bit strained and not enough money is spent on our roads over here.

raptor667 12-19-2007 07:34 AM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Not a Harley!!!! Please not a harley....Try a decent bike, something like a Suzuki or a Kawasaki..maybe even a Honda..but not a harley...pmsl

tmmpin 12-19-2007 08:41 AM

I got to say I am with Raptor on the bike but my ol'lady would love ya.

We got some good roads down here to ride, couple years ago took a trip down to Tennessee and road the Dragon's Tail. I think its 318 turns in 11 miles. I got a shirt that saids how many.
Its a windy road but smooth.

Just want to take my crotch rocket down there and ride in instead of my shadow.

Roy 12-19-2007 06:33 PM

Sorry guys, I've been riding Harley's since 1992 and had a few dodgey experiences with the few Jappas that did briefly own. My wife rides a Triumph and she bugs me now and then to get a Rocket 3, but I'm too much of a Harley guy now. 8)

Roy 12-20-2007 07:23 AM

But it's good to see some fellow bikers that love their snakes. Generally the same macho bike culture goes hand in hand with snakes and guns and tattoos alike, but I have seen some of the toughest, hardest and battle scared guys turn into the biggest sooks when confronted with a snake. Not all of them, like I said, snakes are common within the bike culture. 8)

IzzieMonster 12-20-2007 06:40 PM

Does anybody want to sponsor Christy and Izzie on a trip to Australia???

dwg1211 12-20-2007 10:24 PM

don't know about that... I'd be lucky to afford to sponsor your cab fare to the airport.. 8)

Roy 12-20-2007 11:25 PM

I can offer accommodation. 8)

dwg1211 12-20-2007 11:43 PM

touche' :D

tmmpin 12-21-2007 08:19 AM

I might have to see how much a ticket costs to fly out there. I know my mom's ticket to Germany, round trip, ran about 900 dollars.
It sure would be worth it.

So hows Basil going? :?

sombadfish 12-22-2007 05:20 AM

very angry actually. shes been sleeping in my bed (on a heating blanket) and this morning i went to pet her and she bit me, over and over and over... til i finally dropped a sweatshirt on her and stuck her back in the tank..

still eating like a piggy

tmmpin 12-22-2007 08:18 AM

Little aggressive huh?!

I guess if she is still eating its a good sign.
By the time she drops the eggs they'll be ready to hatch...

sombadfish 12-22-2007 02:19 PM

they arent fertilized which is why she still hasnt dropped them. when they are fertilized they go by a set schedule (laying them exactly so many weeks later, etc) but when they arent fertilized she goes by her own schedule (never laying them)

shes usually so sweet and cuddly :-\ i guess shes more miserable than i thought.

Roy 12-22-2007 11:39 PM

I'm sure she will be back to her normal self after she gets rid of her eggs.
