ChrystalR 03-19-2009 01:50 AM

Since I am almost new, Ill throw in a "Thank you :D" as well!

dwg1211 03-19-2009 02:12 AM

good thread, Denny!.. I join you in warmly welcoming newcomers.. :D

tmmpin 03-19-2009 09:54 AM

Too bad there wasn't a way to have a posting like that for new people to see when ever they first join or visit the forum.

dwg1211 03-19-2009 11:21 AM

good sticky material.. :)

..I've seen it at other forums.. a place for new members to pop in and introduce themselves.. instead of hoping someone just notices they're new when they post in a running thread or start one.. lets us see them begin and greet them properly.. sets a good tone..

Bluerain 03-19-2009 03:17 PM

Yeah!......Quite alot of the other forums have a "New members post"!!! But, how much nicer to have somebody notice you, and say hello personally?? I like it here already!

dwg1211 03-19-2009 05:38 PM

good point, Blue.. :)

glad you like it here.. I do too!.. :D

dwg1211 03-21-2009 11:13 PM

I like the new Sticky!... I miss seeing them sometimes because I usually click on 'new posts' instead of selecting the 'General' forum first.. cool!

..I've noticed that, after it lists the new posts, then you read/respond to one/some, it doesn't list all of them again when you click on it sometimes.. I think I've missed a few that way.. gonna start double-checking.. ;)

Roy 03-26-2009 05:58 AM

Yeah, it's a good idea. Boa Tips is getting there.

Bluerain 03-27-2009 08:04 AM

outlaw2747 04-30-2009 07:31 PM

Hello everyone, outlaw2747 here (real name's Dante) and I am glad to be a part of a forum with like minded people. I am a proud owner of a male Californian Kingsnake named Xemnas, an apricot Pueblan Milksnake named Zelda, a hypomelanistic gopher snake named Xavier, and a wonderful beared dragon named Ghidorah. I hope to share my critters with you all and exchange information about these wonderful animals. :)

MainStick 04-30-2009 08:20 PM

We have a small group of similarly like minded (aka crazy) people.

If you notice, the forum has over 22,000 members of which less than 100 are regular members... this is due to the fact that over 21,000 people have refused to take our suggestions seriously and have since been eaten. :D

Thanks for the welcome message. Looking forwards to my new Ball Python. I finally talked my wife into letting me get one. I do have to keep him/her in the garage but it is a start. I also got my son a regular gecko and he love him.

Denny I'll be contacting you soon to make arrangements for shipping my new snake. Thanks

Brian

DodoBird27 05-14-2009 02:41 AM

Congrats on the BP:)

lovesnuffles 05-14-2009 03:06 AM

Grats Brian on the new snake! :D Don't worry, your wife will warm up to him soon enough and will most likely insist upon keeping him in the house! :) My mom insisted I keep the snake I got in my room and out of her sight, but he grew on her and she insisted he move to the living room where she can see him and all my others.

Hey Jay :) Welcome to the forum

Cheryl72 06-27-2009 05:50 PM

Question

 I have a red rat or some people call them corn snakes. How often should I feed my snake? He's just a baby and I have been feeding him lizards like once or twice a week. He's only shedded his skin once. I have had him for about 4 months.
If you can help me with this question I really appreciate all your help.
Sincerely,
Cheryl A. Sitton :)

lovesnuffles 06-28-2009 12:05 AM

Don't feed him lizards =/ I'm assuming they're wild caught lizards and they can give him parasites. Take him to the vet now and get him checked out and then go to your pet store and buy him pinkie mice and feed him one of those once a week.
