Default new to site and having troubles

I bought a 4 year old ball python from a pet store my ol' lady works at, it came to the store from a snake rescue center not far from here it sat up in the store for three weeks with out eating, I have had her now for three weeks and she still refuses to eat. I am worried that she may starve. I have no past history of the snake other than the guy from the rescue center said she was eating 3 mice a week. will she come out of it or what? She sokes every night and has shed once since I have had her. Should I worry more or take it in stride. I am familier with corn snakes as I own 2 from babies but a large ball python is different.

Three mice a week is wayyyyy too much!! Check her for impaction, that's probably why she's not eating. Just feel around near her vent area and if you feel hard bumps under her tail, soak her in lukewarm water to help her pass it out.

after a warm soak (not too warm, remember they are cold blooded-that means warm to us is really hot to them) start at their belly and gently stroke towards the vent and make sure your over a waste can!!!
