Default Beginners first snake

Thought I would put up some pics of my sons first snake as we got her today as well. Her name is Charlie and she's a Phantom Charcoal Corn snake ( who thinks up these names... ) and he is soooooooooooo happy with her.

I stopped keeping up with corn snake morph names lol. There's too many that look exactly alike and are called sooo many different things. I'd have called her a ghost lol. But whatever she is, she's beautiful!

Awesome corn snake! Your son is a very lucky boy. We are encouraged in South Africa to begin with a corn snake and learn the do's and dont's.They are a bit pricey though but the varieties are amazing. Mine range from black to snow white.

Thank you for the kind comments. Unfortunately the snake didn't make it and was returned to the place of purchase. It appeared to have a genetic defect which according to the dealer is a known problem with that morph. He very kindly changed the snake and my son now has a healthy Motley Caramel Cornsnake.....called Sweetie.
