I want to get one of these but am worried that it might try to kill my small dog. Is it likely to do this?

No. The BRB is way too small to do any real damage to your dog and the dog would probably kill it before it killed the dog.

No it will never get to that size. Plus it dont see the dog as a prey item. I tought I hit the jackpot one day when I went to Pet *********** to get a small rat and 2 pinkies when they offered my all the hamster pups I wanted for free. I offered my BRB these and she didnt want anything to do with them. She was hungry and tore the pinkies up the next day.
My BRB is just as tame and polite as my Ball is you should have no worries. |

The snake will not get large enough to eat a dog. I dont think it would if it were they dont look at them as prey. My BRB would not eat Hamster pups even when she was hungry.

First off, I agree the snake will not see the dog as prey...however, the snake may see the dog as a threat and strike and wrap it to eliminate the threat, the dogs fate would be in your hands! Second, why would the snake and the dog ever come into contact when you are not there? FYI, Rainbows require a higher degree of humidity and therefore are more labor intensive than other snakes. Like I said, just FYI

No, the snake may see the dog as prey ... each snake is different ... however a dog is not one that a snake would pursue. The dog would fight back, making the snake not want anything to do with it. At that point, it would be a matter of will the dog kill the snake? And as Denny said, they never have a reason to come into contact anyways, given proper husbandry.
