I like your new philosophy of taking your time and only getting the snakes you really want or need rather than anything you saw.....lol

Curious about if you health visitor has been on your case about your snakes yet. Over here they read the article over snakes and salmonella and panic and over react.

Health visitor? I don't have one of those :o No, no one is allowed on my property to consult me about my snakes until Whiskey and Brandy reach 8 feet and I have to register them. Other than that, I'm not doing anything wrong or breaking any laws, so no one should say jack about my hobby!!

Thats probably the best thing about living in the country, no laws to restrict me on anything. Except veonmous snakes and native snakes. I have been thinking about seeing how hard it would be to get a permit for some of the native species.

We have similar issues here with legal inconsistencies. The laws relating to ALL indigenous species is clear. No keeping of them at all without a permit venomous or not. Getting a permit is not that tough provided there is a conservation motive and better still breeding to release: no selling allowed. Foreign species are permissable but permit regulations differ from province to province creating huge confussion.
