Thumbs down Hopper rat??

Has anyone heard of a "hopper rat"?

I went to a store to get a live pup as two hopper mice is what I was feeding Storm and decided to swtich to rats. So after talking to Snuffles she suggested a pup. So wen t I asked for one, boy they pulled one out and it was rather small, like a hopper. I asked for a bigger one, as I said "That looks likea fuzzy" so he wen to get a bigger one and brought it out. It was a good size. about 2.5 inches long and pretty slender. Good feed size for Storm. They called it a "hopper rat" when I asked what that was.

Scratching my head

Rats have the same sizes as mice I believe. As do rabbits.

I found a place in California that ships feeders and want to switch to Rats. Storm took it. I'll tell ya a story here...

I bought this live to do a pre-kill just to be sure she would take it before switching. However, the idiot owner, left the chinese take home box the rat came in on the island and the rat pushed and landed on the kitchen floor and escaped! To say I was pissed at myself is an understatment! LOL Fortunately, my wife, son and I were talking in the kitchen and they spotted the rat running from behind the fridge to the island an dwe were able to catch it.

It was the perfect size for Storm considering she needs weenling mice sized rats which Pups are the appropriate sized but never heard of hopper rats. The shipping doesn't increase if I get the pinkies for our corn, rats for Storm and fuzzies for my neighbor's corn. It's really a good deal since shipping is only $30 from California to the Rockies.
