So, I thaw a rat out and place Storm into her feeding bin. Covered her up and went shopping. Don't worry, she was secure.
![]() Upon returning, my son told me he moved her back to her enclosure and put the rat away. Well, not yet though the rat was still thawed. He thought she wasn't going to eat. So I told him let's get her back out and dangle the rat in front of her. And what happens? She takes the prey within 30 seconds! Silly Snake! ![]() PS I now have me a baby ball python. ![]() |

Ball pythons are great wee snakes, im hoping i have a gravid one here this year?
One of my hatchling royals can be a bit like that, you put a defrosted rat pup in and she will just ignore it, or lie ontop of it. Take it out and heat it up a bit with a hairdryer tho..then wham!!!

I still feed my boa in his regular tank. He is always very docile but after he eats he is very aggressive and it's hard for me to go near him.
So after feeding him in a separate tank and having way too many problems moving him into his main enclosure I just started feeding him in there No problems and still the most chill boa I've encountered

I have not had this issue with Lucy after she eats. But I also wear a special pair of gloves when I take her out of her tank and put her into her old one. Then put them back on to put her back into her tank. She seems fine with this. It could just be the routine I have set up.
