Wink Been a while

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've been on this site and so much is happening that I become somewhat distracted. Late last year I was visiting the US to see my wife's family in California. We hired a Harley Davidson Ultra Glide (a bike with all the comforts you can have on a bike) and rode out to Vegas. We had a great time and look forward to getting out there again.

Serge, Ruby and Bill are doing great. Its supposed to be winter over here now and they should be in semi-hibernation, but for some reason we are not getting the freezing cold winter we normally get (yes, sometimes Brisbane does get cold). Serge and Ruby are happy in their outside enclosure and they haven't been bothered by any wild snakes from the bushland behind my house as I was concerned a lot of the male Carpets would soon sniff out two single females that have their own place.

Thanks Dennis. Yeah, I think Facebook is the biggest distraction for most, though I am not on Facebook myself. Most of my distractions have been work, my bike club, church and so on.

Wow this site has become very quiet. Facebook has a lot to answer for.

Some of our people have had to let their pets go to other homes, school, college, etc. I am moving south and sold everything I had also. The site really calmed down when Mr. Arnett and I found a way to stop the porn, bots etc. I have total control who joins now and I check IP backgrounds to keep spammers out! I have sent "miss you" emails out to our most active members.... Some people do join just to research the posts and care sheets.

I agree, I'm not a member on facebook and really have no desire to be.

as far as the forums I've been a member of, they all are pretty much at a stand still.
it's too bad, I will always frequently visit this forum in hopes it will keep going.

Roy was this your first visit to the US?

No, I've been a regular a few years ago. My presence has dropped off due to various life distractions............getting divorced, getting remarried, that sort of thing.

Hi Christy, yes it has been a long time. How are things in Texas? My wife wants to visit Texas next time we go over, she grew up in Anaheim.

How is Izzie & Knuckles going?
