Default Frozen butts!

I checked out how my two girls were going in their new viv the other day and noticed they were really cold (we are in the middle of Autumn down here). I Wondered why they were cold. The two flower pot heat lamps were pumping out lots of heat. Then I realized that they sitting too low from the lamps, so all I had to do was elevate them a tad so that they are closer to the warmth. After making them a little platform, they are happy again.

After!

Before.

Roy,
How old are your Coastal Carpet Pythons, and are they sisters or no?

I purchased Serge as a hatchling in March 05, so she will be 6yo. I purchased Ruby in September 05, so she will be 5 coming up to 6. No they're not sisters. I purchased them from two different breeders from opposite side of town. They do get along extremely well and only ever had one fight, many years ago when they were younger.

Ruby almost died some time ago from a respiratory infection and I spared no expense to get her well again. She cost me over $1,000 for antibiotics I had to inject into her back with a syringe. My lounge room looked like a junkies den with hypodermic syringes scattered across my coffee table. My biggest concern was for Serge. I believe she would have suffered if Ruby was no longer with us.

That is good that she pulled through. And they are happy together. Good for you!
