Default New ball pythons

I am over the moon as I have finaly managed to get my hands on a pair of ball pythons! They arrive next weekend so I am scrubbing their new tank and setting up heaters etc. They are extremely rare here and i have even put my name on a breeders waiting list previously. Cant wait. Even looking forward to Monday to get next week over.

They're rare there? Really? In the country that they're originally from? Lol, that's crazy :P!! Congrats though!

That's so exciting! Ball Pythons are great, I'm sure you'll love them. Can you post pics when you get them?

The BP is not indigenous to South Africa. They are from North West Africa and are not found here at all. Over and above tha;t the guy I "thought" was selling them to me let me know he had sold them to someone else this morning. Absolutely devestated! Will have to go back to searching. Had scrubbed and repainted tank etc. in anticipation.

The bastard! Well, now your ready for when you find some.
I cheated on Lucy last week at another pet store; one of the workers was holding a baby ball in his hand and I was like, "Can I hold him?" He asked if I wqas familiar with snakes; I told him yes; and she was so little! She peeked her head out, took a look around and hid her head again. So cute!

Yep i suppose i am but thats the only good thing to come out of this experience. I have learnt to only source snakes from reputable breeders with an established reputation. Does not erase dissapointment though.

After my last post i was contacted by a reputable dealer who has two balls which they offered me. Am happy but apprehensive. Will get really excited when can fetch them. The breeder is 300km away and i can only get there in 2weeks time. Suppose i have waited so long that 2 weeks will not kill me. Will give bleach time to kill all bugs in new tank and me a chance to let 2nd coat of paint time to dry.
