Default Changing from live to f/t

How long does it usually take a ball python to convert from live prey to f/t? I've been trying for a month to get Snickers to eat f/t. I've warmed the rats up with a hair dryer until it was fluffy, done the "mousie" dance, and even just left the rat in there. She's not the least bit interested in it. The very first f/t rat I tried she struck and coiled but then didn't want anything to do with it. It's now been 6 weeks since the last time she ate and this is her prime chowing season.

I really don't want to go back to live because the new, and only pet store in town, charged me $4 for a small weaned rat and $6 for a medium rat. My rodent supplier sold out to this new pet store which happened to be his brother in law who he couldn't agree with on business so he sold out to him. He warned me the new store was expensive.

Keep offering the rodents every two weeks, Royals can go for months without any adverse effects. Keep an eye on the snakes weight and if you see a dramatic drop ( very very unlikely ) then offer a live prey item again....usually this isnt the case though.

Good luck
